Lymphatic Drainage Treatment
What is Lymphatic Drainage and how can I benefit from a treatment?
Our lymphatic system is a network of nodes and vessels containing lymph (a mixture of waste products, water, proteins, immune system components and remnants of cellular metabolism). Lymph Nodes are found throughout the body, their purpose being to filter out debris, ensuring lymph filters through as many nodes as possible before returning to the circulatory system. Lymph nodes are in highest amounts in the neck, armpits and groin.
Lymphatic drainage treatment is a specialized form of massage that encourages the movement of lymph around the body, removing waste, toxins and excess fluid. Areas of the body massaged include: feet, legs, back, neck, head, face, upper chest / clavicle, arms and abdomen. Lymphatic drainage treatment uses essential oils to enhance mental and physical relaxation and encourage cellular detoxification.
For best results, Lymphatic Drainage Treatments are recommended in groups of 3, over a 3-week period. The initial consultation is 90 minutes long and subsequent treatments are 60 minutes.
